Today's plan was to do drills and easy swimming. I guess I should know better when Rolandas is around. Just as I got to the pool, they were starting a set of 8x 25 sprint kick with fins @ :45. Since it was too crowed in the lap swim lanes, I jumped in for 5 of the sprint kicks. It was sure a tough way to warm up... especially since I did them all no-breath! After that I was definitely ready for my easy swimming and drills!

I have no idea what it's like to be an elite swimmer! However, today a got a taste for speed.... yes, the real speed of an Olympian. Have you ever ridden a wave? Well, Rolandas came up with a great idea while hanging on the wall just after swimming a 25 with a stretch cord, ready to swim a 25 fast with the assistance of the cord pulled all the way across the pool. The mission, ride his wave... who, me! ... the plan, I go first and Rolandas takes off after me... my goal, stay right on his wave as close to him as I can as he's passing.
